Epic Universe has quickly become one of the biggest reasons to visit Universal Orlando Resort, but Universal is now giving some guests a very different way to experience the park.
Instead of spending a full day inside, visitors can pay for a shorter, more exclusive nighttime experience with limited capacity, included food, character encounters, and several hours after regular guests have left.
Universal has already seen enough interest to expand the event.
And for daytime visitors, that creates a new decision about how they want to experience Epic Universe after dark.
Epic Universe Has Plenty to Fill an Entire Day
Since opening in May 2025, Epic Universe has added five major worlds to Universal Orlando Resort.
Celestial Park acts as the central hub, leading guests toward SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
Major attractions include Stardust Racers, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, Mine-Cart Madness, and Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.
With that lineup, visitors can easily spend a full operating day moving between attractions, restaurants, entertainment, and the different lands.
But nighttime brings a different atmosphere.
Celestial Park relies heavily on fountains, lighting, and other visual effects that stand out after sunset. Depending on the park’s operating hours, regular ticket holders may only get a limited amount of time to enjoy that nighttime setting.
Universal Nights gives guests another option.
Universal Nights Extends the Epic Universe Experience
Universal Nights at Epic Universe is a separately ticketed, limited-capacity after-hours event.
Ticket holders can enter Epic Universe beginning at 7 p.m. That gives them time to experience Universal Celestial Goodnight before the exclusive event period begins.
From 9 p.m. through midnight, Universal Nights guests receive exclusive access to attractions and experiences around the park.
The limited capacity is a major part of the event’s appeal. Several Epic Universe attractions can generate lengthy waits during normal operating hours, so fewer people inside could give event guests more opportunities to experience attractions during the three-hour exclusive window.
Universal has also packed several extras into the ticket.
Guests can enjoy unlimited berry-flavored Celestial Popcorn and crispy Kimchi Bao in Celestial Park. Universal also provides a cup that guests can use for refills at Coca-Cola Freestyle locations.
Character meet-and-greets will also be available throughout the night.
That gives Universal Nights a different feel from simply buying another regular park ticket.
Strong Demand Leads Universal to Add More Dates
Universal originally announced Universal Nights for October 3 and October 17.
Now the schedule has expanded.
Additional events will take place on October 24, November 6, and November 20, bringing the total to five nights.
October 17 has already sold out. Tickets remain available for the other four events at $179.99 per person, plus tax.
Universal said:

The sellout gives Universal an early indication that guests are interested in experiencing Epic Universe under these conditions.
Adding three more nights also allows more visitors to decide whether the exclusive format is worth the additional cost.
Regular Daytime Guests Face a Different Value Question
That decision becomes more interesting when comparing Universal Nights with a normal day at Epic Universe.
A typical operating schedule runs from about 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. That gives a regular ticket holder around 10 hours in the park.
One-day Epic Universe admission uses date-based pricing and can range from about $139.99 to $199.
Universal Nights, meanwhile, costs about $180 and allows guests inside beginning at 7 p.m. The exclusive event lasts from 9 p.m. until midnight.
That means guests receive up to five hours inside the park compared with roughly 10 hours during a typical operating day.
From a simple hours-per-dollar perspective, regular admission provides more time.
But Universal Nights isn’t really selling additional hours on its own.
Guests are paying for limited capacity, included food and drinks, character opportunities, and several hours of nighttime access after regular daytime guests have exited.
Guests Now Have Two Very Different Ways to Visit
For someone who wants an entire day to explore every corner of Epic Universe, regular admission likely remains the stronger option.
For someone more interested in nighttime atmosphere, limited capacity, and exclusive perks, Universal Nights offers something the standard park day does not.
That makes the choice less about which ticket provides more hours and more about what kind of experience a guest values.
With one date already sold out and three additional nights added, Universal has clearly found interest in a premium nighttime version of Epic Universe.
Regular guests may still get the longer visit, but staying later now comes with an additional charge.
