Disney World Confirms Pool Bar Removal at Value Resort Hotel
Guests booking a stay at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort in the coming months should prepare for a temporary change to their poolside dining options, as Walt Disney World Resort confirms a lengthy closure ahead.
The Grandstand Spirits Pool Bar Is Closing

On September 2, Walt Disney World Resort announced that the Grandstand Spirits Pool Bar at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will shut down for refurbishment beginning September 18, 2026. A temporary pool bar will be set up nearby to fill the gap, though Disney hasn’t confirmed whether that stand-in location will carry the same full menu guests typically find at the permanent bar.
Normal Operations Expected Elsewhere
Beyond the pool bar closure, the rest of the guest experience at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort should remain largely unaffected. Reservations already booked, along with new ones, will be honored throughout the refurbishment. Guests might catch glimpses of or hear construction during the day, though Disney generally schedules noisier work for daytime hours, when most guests are off exploring Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or Disney Springs.

Walt Disney World Resort has set a target reopening window of mid-December 2026 for the pool bar, though an exact date has not been finalized. It’s also unclear whether the space will look any different once it reopens to guests.
The Other All-Star Resorts
Neither Disney’s All-Star Music Resort nor Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort has received a similar closure announcement for their respective pool bars. That said, Walt Disney World Resort tends to roll out refurbishment projects in phases across its resort properties, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Singing Spirits Pool Bar or the Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar follow suit at some point.

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is already mid-refurbishment elsewhere on property, with ongoing updates to guest rooms and the Donald’s Double Feature merchandise shop. The Value Resort hotel and its gift shop remain open during that process, though guests may notice a more limited selection of souvenirs for the time being.
